This policy explains how Nurples Network LLC ("we", "us") handles information through this website and through Nurples Platform, our software for golf courses, restaurants, retail shops and similar businesses (the "Platform").
1. Who is responsible for what
We play two different roles.
- For this website and our own customers, we decide how information is used. This covers people who visit nurples.com, send us a message, or sign up for the Platform on behalf of their business.
- For the businesses that use the Platform, we act as a service provider. A golf course or restaurant (our "Customer") uses the Platform to manage its own golfers, members, guests and staff. That Customer decides what information it collects and how it uses it, and its own privacy policy applies. We process that information only to run the Platform for the Customer and as described in our agreement with them.
If you booked a tee time, bought something or joined a membership at a business that uses the Platform, contact that business first with questions about your information. We will help them respond.
2. Information we collect
From website visitors
- What you type into our contact form: name, business name, email, phone number and message.
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. Logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
From our Customers
- Account details for the business and its staff users: names, email addresses, phone numbers, roles and login records.
- Billing details for our subscription.
Processed for our Customers on the Platform
Depending on which features a Customer uses, the Platform may store information about the Customer's own customers and staff, such as:
- Contact details: name, email, phone and mailing address.
- Bookings and visits: tee times, reservations, check-ins, event tickets and tournament entries and scores.
- Purchases: items bought, gift card and house account balances, membership plans and payment history.
- Golf details a customer chooses to provide, such as a handicap index or GHIN number.
- Preferences and notes the business records, such as dining preferences or a birthday for a birthday offer.
- Staff records: schedules, time clock punches, tips and point-of-sale PINs. Passwords and PINs are protected with one-way hashing, so they can't be read or turned back into the original, even by us.
3. Payment card information
Card payments on the Platform are handled by the payment processor each Customer chooses, such as Helcim, Square or Stripe. Card numbers are entered into the processor's own secure fields or terminals and go directly to the processor. Full card numbers and security codes are never sent to or stored on our servers. For saved cards we keep only the reference token the processor returns, along with the card brand, last four digits and expiry date so staff and customers can recognize the card. Money from card payments goes from the processor to the Customer's bank account. It does not pass through us.
4. How we use information
- To run, maintain, secure and support the Platform for our Customers.
- To reply to messages and demo requests sent through this website.
- To bill Customers for their subscription and to send service notices.
- To find and fix problems, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Platform secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use our Customers' customer data for our own marketing or for advertising. Marketing emails sent through the Platform are sent by the Customer, under the Customer's name, and always include a way to unsubscribe.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers we need in order to operate the Platform, and only as much as they need:
- Hosting: our servers and backups are hosted with data center providers in the United States.
- Payment processors chosen by each Customer, to process their payments.
- Email delivery services, to send receipts, confirmations and other messages.
- Integrations a Customer turns on, such as the USGA GHIN handicap service, online booking channels or a delivery service. These receive only what the integration needs.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our Customers, their customers or ourselves, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information.
6. Cookies
This website and the Platform use only the cookies needed to work: a session cookie that keeps you logged in and protects forms from misuse, and similar cookies that remember a paired register or display device. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load.
7. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), one-way hashed passwords and PINs, role-based permissions so staff see only what their job requires, separation between each Customer's data, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident affecting personal information, we will notify the affected Customers without undue delay so they can meet their own notice obligations, and we will notify individuals where the law requires us to.
8. Keeping and deleting data
Customer data is kept for as long as the Customer's account is active. When a Customer leaves, they can request an export of their data for 30 days after the end of their subscription. After that we delete it from the live system, and it is removed from backups as they age out, normally within 90 days. We may keep billing records for as long as tax law requires. Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to follow up and then deleted.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you as a website visitor or Customer contact, and we will respond within 45 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we will honor requests as those laws require. If your request concerns information a golf course or other business holds about you on the Platform, we will pass it to that business, since they control that information. To make a request, email support@nurples.com.
10. Children
This website and the Platform are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for ourselves. A Customer may record a junior golfer or a family member on a membership. In that case the Customer is responsible for obtaining any required parental consent.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will also notify Customers by email before it takes effect.
